Ephesians 1:4-5

"... just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will."

Ephesians 1:4-5 (NASB)

We're saved today and for eternity because God promised to save us "according to the kind intention of His will." That's why we can't lose our salvation! It has nothing to do with us deserving it, holding on to it, or living up to it.

(Galatians Lesson 9—"Righteous" Stamped by Our Name)
